Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated Procurement Specialist to join our team and play a key role in our supply chain operations. The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring goods and services required for our water treatment projects, equipment rentals, and general operations. Additionally, the Procurement Specialist will be responsible for identifying tender opportunities, applying for contracts, and establishing relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement processes.
Responsibilities:
- Research and identify potential suppliers for water treatment equipment, rental machinery, and other project-related goods and services.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality standards are met.
- Manage the procurement process from sourcing to delivery, ensuring timely and efficient execution of orders.
- Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop procurement strategies that support project objectives.
- Identify tender opportunities, prepare tender submissions, and manage the tendering process in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and other external partners to ensure reliable and responsive support for our operations.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier information in compliance with company policies and regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in the mining, oil, gas, or energy industries.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with tender processes, contract management, and procurement best practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
- Ability to travel occasionally for supplier visits, industry events, and project-related activities.
